Gerard A.'s Story
Graduated from Wilkes in '67. Began in engineering and got as far as infinity Squared, asked how much it would cost and they said I should be an accountant.
Worked with Arthur Andersen in Rochester NY for two years and got CPA, Became controller of NE Region of Continental Tel with 33 companies in nine states and three provinces of Canada.
Got Bored and went back to Arthur Andersen.
In '74 left and became receiver for a developer in Ft. Myers, Florida. G...Expand for more
ot divorced before I left and left ex wife and Rochester (Both were too cold).
Along the way became Chairman of Board of New York Stock Exchange Company which was the 3rd largest S&L in Florida.
Now been married 34 years (44 if you count first time) and am a CPA, Banker, and Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Trustee with cases from Florida to New York City. Office in New York about 6-8 days per month and Ft. Myers rest of time.
Not retiring as having too much fun...
